
Greenpeace releases images of deforestation in the Amazon
Area in the southern state is considered new agricultural frontier. Organization will request immediate action from the authorities.
Greenpeace released photographs taken during this flyby done in southern Amazonas state in which we found large areas of deforestation, according to the institution, were not recorded by the system of Deforestation Detection in Real Time (Deter) of the National Institute Space Research (INPE).
Aerial photographs, taken in late June, are areas in the towns of Apuí (more concentrated deforestation polygons), Canutama and Manipur.
